	Have you checked out Evansville, Indiana yet? It’s less than 200 miles from Beech Grove, to the south west down I-65, then west on I-64. Evansville has an excellent place to while away your day and evening: Casino Aztar. Play all day and be home by night.
	Culbertson Mansion is a historic and stately manor in New Albany, about an hour and a half due south of Beech Grove on I-65. It has the distinction of being one of the spookiest, most-visited haunted houses in Indiana.
	Looking for something unusual but closer to home? Consider spending the afternoon at the Farmhouse Restaurant and Tea Room in nearby Nineveh,close to Brown County State Park, where there’s swimming, camping and hiking amid some of the prettiest regions of the country.
	Jasper, Indiana is less than a two-hour drive from Beech Grove and has been officially named the 25th best small town in the United States. Spend the day there and see why. If you plan to go in early August, you can attend the Strassenfest, where the whole town decks out in German attire.
	Santa Claus doesn’t really live in the North Pole, you know. He passes most of his time in his other residence in a town called Santa Claus, near Jasper, Indiana, some 150 miles southwest of Beech Grove. Spend your day there with the fam at the Holiday World theme park and Splashin’ Safari. A memorable visit!
